Actually, he should probably try and filter his stories on occasion--he's got a bad habit of saying things that he really shouldn't have.
Given his history, it's really no surprise that he enjoys working with his hands in the dirt. What's most surprising, at least to his colleagues, is that he's actually good at it. So good, in fact, that his work on magically sustainable agricultural practices has been published in multiple journals and earned him a reputation for progressive thinking and creativity. He'd never really considered leaving the States for the UK, but the offer of a professorship at Hogwarts was simply too good to refuse. Kids are like kindred spirits, and the pay and opportunities are even better. So what if his colleagues treat him like a bit of a glorified gardener?
Playby is open and may be changed to anyone, though we strongly encourage you to consider a PoC playby.
She doesn't have the sort of personality you might expect from someone so dedicated to saving others: she's cool and analytic, somewhat socially isolated, and prone to snappish, critical remarks. She's not here to hold anyone's hand, after all. She's out to do her damn job and make a difference in the world, and if that means stepping on a few toes, experimenting on a few unwilling, non-human menaces, and sacrificing her social life, so be it. She's been surprised and annoyed to learn it also means promotions. She'd prefer not to have extra duties that distract from her research, but apparently she's caught the eye of St. Mungo's administrators. She was just promoted to lead researcher in her current lab.
Following graduation and thanks to his parents' connections, he rode as an apprentice for one of the largest racing stables in the UK. He became a full-fledged jockey at 20, and today is considered to be one of the top jockeys in the business. He's known to be very cool under pressure while racing, but he always has a kind pat and a sugar cube for his horses, and despite his competitive nature he is known for being very fair.
Racing is a tough career - lots of travel, extreme requirements for physical fitness and extremely dangerous. His family expects him to settle down and step into a role as a breeder, or perhaps a trainer. But Wakahisa loves the thrill, excitement and time spent in the spotlight that he has as a jockey and currently has no plans to slow down.
Despite her efforts in school, her results were mediocre, which put the kibosh to her dream of working in healing. It came as a surprise to her family and schoolmates when she actually managed to make something of her musical passions, and most of her school friends haven't hesitated to take advantage of her rise to fame. But the truth is, despite her tendency to act as a doormat, she's not completely oblivious and she does want to make a difference; she plans to use her influence to her advantage. Unfortunately, discernment isn't something she picked up in school, and her happy-go-lucky, compassionate nature makes it difficult for her to say "no" to... well, anything. Her tendency to rely heavily on the opinions of others has something to do with it as well. In fact, she's never really liked the name Castle, but everyone else does. Good enough, right?
